The Randy Barcelo Foundation is a non profit organization. The Foundation was created in 1996. The main purpose is to promote the art fields, specially the plastic arts in order to perpetuate the memory of the costume designer and painter Randy Barcelo. The Foundation will encourage new talent by giving awards to art students. The Foundation exhibits and sells Barcelo's art work to accomplish its goals.
EXHIBITIONS
The Foundation has been able to expose the work of the artist in different locations since 1995, in order to show his work and perpetuate it. With the given purpose of accomplishing profits to be able to give awards to art students.
The Foundation have works for sale in order to continue and expand our award program:
- original paintings
- note cards
- dolls
AWARDS
The Foundation has been giving awards to art students in Puerto Rico since 1997.
Students were awarded in different schools: School of Visual Arts, Central High, San Juan; University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras; and School of Plastic Arts, Old San Juan. Since 2000 to present the Foundation has concentrated the awards to one school: School of Plastic Arts, Old San Juan, P.R.
